Christopher joined Murphys having gained a Degree in BSc (Hons) Combined Studies in Science: Biology and Chemistry, at Nottingham Trent University. Chris’ role at Murphys focuses largely on the routine the Quality Control tests done across our the range of products we manufacturer and supply to brewers. As a result, Chris does a lot of wet chemistry and instrument work, including HPLC, ICP-OES and the Thermo Beermaster. When not focusing on to Quality Control, Chris analyses customer samples (Beer, Cider, Spirts), for % ABV, pH, Colour, bitterness, Heavy metals, Ionics etc. and produces detailed reports on a case by case basis.
When not at Murphys, Chris likes to keep healthy by running, going to the gym and taking long walks in the country. He also has a passion for trying real ales, and is particularly partial to a hoppy pale.
