With so many members of the team boasting long tenures at Murphys, with just over a year under her belt, Emily is a newer recruit to the team and her role is fairly new too. She oversees all marketing and events, including this website, taking over from Fran with the aim to make our brand synonymous with technical resource, extensive range and industry leading support. Her experience, gained mostly since graduating university in 2013, isn’t rooted in brewing but instead spread across the photographic, arts, sales and educational industries, starting initially in events before developing into project and campaign management. Plus, being a Norfolk gal she’s partial to a real ale, in addition to her taste for craft keg, so has loved the excuse to learn more about brewing, attend events and taste as many different beers as poss, since joining our industry.
When not at her desk, Emily continues to spin a number of plates. She’s a violinist, in several projects that take her to festivals all over including the Edinburgh Fringe and is also a dedicated support worker, working predominantly with young adults with Autism. Her favourite pass time is undoubtedly sharing a pint or two with friends, preferably abroad somewhere new and exciting, but her longstanding love of the arts, history and reading, means she spends a lot of time at museums, galleries and libraries too.
