Bruwell A is a calcium salt that adds sulphate, which gives beer a drier and more bitter effect and correct mouthfeel. Thus, increasing the mineral content of your brewing liquor to so the quality of your brew, by highlighting the desired beer characteristics.
It also improves the health and vigour of your yeast, the quality of extract yield and fermentation and your wort run-off.
It can also reduce the pH during mashing and wort boiling and so improve enzyme activity and promote the precipitation of unwanted proteins in the kettle, hop back or whirlpool.
