Phosphoric acid 75% is used for acid washing yeast or as a pH / alkalanity adjuster. For many years brewers have acid washed as a means of eliminating contaminant bacteria from pitching yeast. Such bacteria if allowed to survive can spoil beer and may produce ATNC (Apparent Total Nitroso Compounds). Acid washing selectively kills bacteria without harming yeast providing it is done correctly altough it should be noted that acid washing does not eliminate wild yeast strains from contaminated brewers' yeast.

This product is a hazardous material, therefore an additional delivery surcharge will be added to the order.
