Appendix 5: Measurement of Filtration Volume

Method

1. Wort is produced by the Institute of Brewing Recommended Method 2.3 (up to Section 3.6).
2. 30 minutes from the end of mashing pour the entire mash into a 32 cm diameter filter paper in a 15 cm diameter funnel. Ensure the filter paper is pressed closely into the funnel. Collect the filtrate for 30 minutes and measure the volume collected.
